The original church was constructed sometime in the 13th century but was not well established until 1340.

Sint Catharinakerk looks like a smaller copy of the Dom in Cologne and is surprisingly small from the inside. It would hardly fit the people of only the centre of Eindhoven. The outside is well crafted and a visit is worthwhile. Date of experience: October 2017.
